There is more skill involved in playing, it doesn't have the insane grinding, and you don't get so locked into a single character. Although for PvE I do really miss WoW's aggro system and for PvP I miss the battlegrounds setup (especially the 40x40 one.)

Alterac Valley, (Version. 1) was the best thing Blizz-WoW ever did. In it's current version it's very broken, along with Pvp in the World of Gearcraft. You'll get Southparked over and over, as the No-lifers will always have a stat/gear advantage. So there's not much to miss.

That's sad to hear, Alterac Valley was simply amazing.
The thing that gets me down about GW PvP is that because I am in a small guild I feel like my PvPing options are quite limited. My guild consists of 6 real-life friends that all play casually. So that means I can either do Random Arena, or when four of us are online at the same time Team Arena. Heroes Ascent and Guild Vs. Guild either require 6 or 8 for a team, and they are not pickup group friendly. I don't have Factions yet so I'm not sure about any kind of PvP in that game.
The PvP in WoW was much more accessible by random pickup groups. You just queued up and when there was enough for both sides (something like at least 15 each side for the smaller ones or 30 for AV) you played. Sometimes your pickup group was against an organized group and you got rolled over, but more often (for me at least) the battles turned out fairly even and fun.
The basic mechanics of a PvP fight in GW are much better than in WoW though, and I suppose that counts the most

Besides, your source is ... lacking. A badly written blog that makes some vague statements about an exploit without giving any evidence or even a source? Please.

AV is amazing for first 5-10 times of honor grinding, then it becomes just terribly boring. Generally, whole WoW is user unfriendly money-making game. They force you to spend tons of your payed game time to travel, grinding, recover after battle, and so on. I've spent 14 month for WoW and will not return back.

I'm also an ex WoW player, about a year now. The grind in GW is nothing compared to the grind in WoW. Getting to max level here is so much easier and grinding for the elite mount, grinding Alterac Valley (think of getting reputation NF Lightbringer) is much more painful unless you have a very large guild which can competitively win over and over.
While WoW has its "Southparked" I like that! , it can be interesting. You are basically fair game for the opposing faction while in a competing explorable "Zone", but the gear advantage was just so lopsided it wasn't funny. I like GW much much more.

Welcome to GW. I've never played WoW, but I've watched others play it. I've vowed never to join a pay-to-play game, as I get sucked in to games like this way too easily, and the money 'investment' would make it feel that much harder to turn off the life support syst--er... computer.

Welcome OP.
GW is a nice action-packed game but I'll cast my vote for WoW as a better RPG game. I've just gone back to playing WoW due to the lack of variety in GW and I must say that WoW pwns GW in the RPG area anytime. But in terms of PvP, GW definitely beats WoW hands-down with controls that are more well-suited and better pace of action. While GW is marketed for requiring skill, I find that skill is required for WoW as well and the latter has more depth in PvE (aggro management, etc).
Ultimately, WoW and GW are 2 different games which are top-notch in different areas, with the latter fundamentally built upon PvP aspects. I like them both but since I'm more of a PvE player, I prefer the gameplay in WoW.
P.S. And btw, grinding in WoW and monthly subscription does hurt. Lol.

The grind in WoW is mindnumbing. I got one char to lvl 60 and closed my account.

Yeah... the AI is... okay. I mean. It depends. Monk AI can be silly at times, but minion master AI is actually pretty good.
WoW... played it for a good half hour. Rogue. Turns out I had to manually run up to the monster, and CLICK it, to attack. And think you can, after killing something, just click the monster attacking your back and attack? Hell no! Manually turn your ass around and click. You must WORK for WoW! There is nothing easy!

Ive just gone the other way from the OP. I started playing WoW last weekend after an ex GW friend finally pesuaded me to join him (after a year of trying lol). I think spending day after day in DoA without completing one guest made me fancy a change.
Im liking WoW so far (though i am on a free trial ) it something new to explore, Im not liking the grind too much though but i reckon ill get my rogue to lvl 60. Whether i could be bothered to do it all again with another character i dont know. Ill probably be back for Chapter 4, but my GW friend said that about factions but hes never returned.
